Choctaw Casino Resort

There’s a lot of excitement as the Choctaw Casino Resort opened in Durant last month!  Choctaw Casino started out as a $2 million, 1000 seat facility located four miles south of Durant, Oklahoma on Choctaw Road.  The facility opened its doors December 5, 1987 as “Choctaw Indian Bingo Palace.”  Since that time Choctaw Casino in Durant has been setting the standard for high stakes bingo halls nationwide.

Fast forward twenty years and Choctaw Casino is continuing to set high standards for gaming enthusiasts!   The new Choctaw Casino Resort is a spacious 108,844 square feet and houses over 1,400 gaming machines.   Old favorites like Mr. Moneybags, Red Hot Ruby, Wheel of Fortune and Draw Poker are back alongside the latest gaming machines on the market.  Penny Lane and a separate “high stakes” area just two of the great features on the slot floor.

For those who enjoy off-track betting, a visit to Choctaw Downs is a must!  Choctaw Downs boasts 100 individual betting carrels, each with its own plasma screen television.  In addition to the carrels, guests can catch all the action on eight giant screen plasma televisions.   In the mood for a table game?  Take your pick of eighteen poker tables in the non-smoking poker room or try your luck in the high stakes/tournament room.  If your game is Blackjack, try your luck at one of the 32 tables circling the dome at the center of the Casino.
